Per Fronth is an acclaimed photojournalist, who, for the past nine years has covered events of international importance for Verdens Gang, the largest newspaper in Norway. He terms his art
"more a reaction towards journalism, quieter, with a longer life, and the images have nothing to do with the immediacy of news pictures." In his work he expresses a desire to make lasting, classic art out of his craft.
His work show a love and knowledge of the human form, which he attempts, at the same time, to make more abstract. This is accomplished quite successfully in the way that he achieves an antiquated look, which, Per notes, "has something to do with reducing time and putting it a little more in the background." He feels photojournalism is something that is "instant, it has great value for one day", but what Per Fronth is striving for now is an "eternal image."
